Knowledge compounds when it's connected. Every node is a doorway to something deeper.

The fork feature is genius. I found someone's philosophy map and built my own version. It's like standing on shoulders of giants.

Questions & answers
Everything you need to know about MotifLoom.
What is MotifLoom?
MotifLoom is a visual knowledge mapping platform. You create "motifs" — interactive graphs centered around a topic — and connect books, films, podcasts, games, articles, links, and notes into a visual network of ideas.
Is it free?
Yes. MotifLoom is free to use with no limits on motifs or nodes. A Pro plan with advanced AI features is planned for the future.
How is this different from Notion or Obsidian?
Notion is a document tool. Obsidian is a note-taking app with a graph view. MotifLoom is purpose-built for visual knowledge mapping — every item is a node in a force-directed graph, with auto-fetched metadata from TMDB, Open Library, RAWG, and ListenNotes. The graph is the primary interface, not an afterthought.
What types of content can I add?
Eight types: books, films/series, podcasts, games, articles, links (any URL), notes (free text), and sub-motifs (nested maps). For books, films, games, and podcasts, we auto-fetch cover images, authors, years, and descriptions.
Can I share my motifs?
Yes. Set a motif to Public or Unlisted. Public motifs appear on the Explore page and can be forked (copied) by others. You can also share via direct link, Twitter, LinkedIn, email, or embed with an iframe.
Is my data private?
By default, all motifs are private — only you can see them. We don't track you, show ads, or sell data. You can export all your data anytime as JSON.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. MotifLoom is fully responsive. The graph supports touch gestures (pinch to zoom, drag to pan). Panels open as bottom sheets on mobile.
